Dear Friends and Families of the South East Consortium,
As family members who have been involved with the South East Consortium for several years, we are honored to once again serve as co-chairpersons for the 2024 Annual Friends Giving Campaign. Over the past years, we have seen first-hand the incredible impact South East has had on the lives of our loved ones. There is no doubt South East has played a critical role in the lives of hundreds of children and adults with differing abilities by providing support that offers them a better chance of living a life with dignity, growth and opportunity.
This year we need to raise a minimum of $75,000 to help ensure South East covers its 2024 operating budget. This represents roughly 10% of the South East operating costs. That said, this 10% is very important to ensure South East does not have to raise program fees to its families while continuing a full slate of established and new programs and services. The main source of South East funding is from different federal, state and local streams which have remained stagnant for the most part while operating costs have increased dramatically. How effectively South East can raise funds through grants and donations is critical to its future growth and sustainability!
Since 1981, South East has been an important fixture in our local communities. It has made a difference to so many people of all ages by allowing them an opportunity to get involved in positive experiences and overcome everyday challenges. For many, South East offers the key to unlocking untapped growth and potential, driving success and enjoyment.
